Power-Tech Engineers, Inc. (PTEI) is a multi-disciplinary engineering company providing services mainly in the area of power generation, transmission, substations, and distribution. It is mainly comprised of mature professionals in the electrical, mechanical, structural and civil disciplines, most with over 30 years of engineering experience each.
PTEI has established recognition among the Southern California utilities as a major provider of engineering, project management, construction management, owner’s engineer, project controls, testing & commissioning, and expert services in root-cause analysis and forensic engineering of abnormal events. Additionally, PTEI assists developers of renewable generation projects (solar, wind, geothermal, hydro, biomass), in the permitting, certification, contract review, interconnection application, transmission studies, energy production forecast studies, and detailed plant/ substation engineering for these projects.
Most of our professionals bring a lifetime of experience resulting from working for various water, wastewater, power and telecommunication utilities as well as for large private industry. Our staff has extensive experience in all phases of project management including feasibility and planning studies, design and specifying, bidding, and construction management of some of the most extensive transmission/distribution systems, power plants, pumping stations, water pipelines and aqueducts in the Western United States. Additional expertise includes the planning, design, construction and maintenance of telecommunication, automation and control infrastructures.
